With a background in Biomedical Engineering, Catarina has a resilient and results-oriented mindset. As a former researcher, she understands hypothesis-driven approaches and recognizes the impact of innovation and collaborative teamwork.

In 2016, building upon her experience participating in several international projects, Catarina embraced a new challenge as a project and incentives manager and later post-graduated in Project Management. Since 2019, Catarina has been a team coordinator of the Research Innovation Unit at i3S, focusing on international programs.
