HIGHLY MOTIVATED AND READY TO FACE ANY CHALLENGE

Sebastião regards his teamwork abilities as his most vital characteristic due to his natural propensity for collaboration and fast integration into diverse teams.

In 2017, he collaborated for six months with MOVE, an NGO that fosters entrepreneurship to fight poverty in São Tomé and Príncipe, supporting small businesses in different sectors. During this time, Sebestião assisted about eleven entrepreneurs in improving their businesses by optimizing the accounting and setting up new sales points making their businesses even more profitable. Furthermore, one of the shops he managed dropped its debt by over 70% through a specific accounting program and a new training process that Sebestião developed from scratch to make the shop more efficient.

He then returned to Portugal to lead a team of three volunteers that assessed more than 270 applications, conducted more than 60 interviews, and recruited more than 70 people.

As a dedicated and resilient individual, Sebestião also started working simultaneously in a banking institution, dealing with more than fifty clients daily, advising them on the best way to allocate their financial assets, and being responsible for a half million euros cash flow management.

Galvanized by the desire to embrace a new challenge, in February 2019, Sebastião joined Mercer Portugal for almost three years as an Actuarial Analyst, developing reports to monitor pension funds in the UK and Ireland. This work was particularly challenging since it required an extreme level of focus and the use of his logical, critical
thinking, and communications skills due to a permanent need for daily contact with the Uk's consultant team and external entities who validated client information.

Sebastião decided to join this International MBA to focus more on client-oriented jobs and improve his skill set.
