He received an invitation to work as a procurement manager of a 2-element international team, due its fluency in English, aligned with technical curiosity, and was responsible for contacting national and international companies, managing over 120 suppliers. His many skills, combined with a broad knowledge of the company's products, granted Sérgio a new opportunity to become the production manager, managing a 20-element team for over five years. Here he implemented a new layout that resulted in the increase of production of screw compressors in 35%.
Owner of a curious mindset and with a natural interest in all things related to strategy and the corporate world, he then decided to deepen his skills with an Executive Masters in Sales Management, becoming a sales manager of a 5-element team covering all Portuguese territory. With a regular presence in international fairs of industrial machinery, his close attention to the production line (industrial screw and piston compressors) resulted in a reported increase of 25% in sales. Sergio was also the Project Team Leader in a very successful partnership between Vasco Viana Gestão Lda. and RUBETE S.A. by implementing a new organizational structure covering all sectors of the enterprise, creating a whole multidisciplinary management team with engineers, I.T. support and financial experts (MBA in the field).
Being an independent and self-reliant person, Sérgio left the company to start its own business in real estate and investing, capitalizing on the market boom in Portugal. Having felt the need to return to the corporate world to achieve new heights, he decided to enrol in the International MBA to ultimately advance his skills and talents.
