With a background in engineering and a tenacious will, Rui has an innovation and development mindset consolidated in multiple fields such as renewables, sustainability, biomedical and civil engineering.

Optimization and innovation are Rui's main drives. His route of a continuous improvement attitude has been driving him to further develop his technical skills and intellectual property production as a structural engineer. As a project manager, Rui acquired solid entrepreneurial skills and technical expertise on sustainability-related issues. As a quality and environmental engineer, he has been responsible for site budgeting control, technical and legal support, and BREEAM site sustainability manager.

He has also been focused on communicating complex information to teams and motivating them to excel towards more actionable goals in engineering or sustainability I&D projects and on the prospection of new cooperative business models linked to industrial symbiosis.
