Miguel is an outcome-oriented electrical engineer specializing in Power Systems who loves to strategize and plan, creating synergies and innovative solutions.

Miguel started his career as a consultant in an IT company in Lisbon. But after one year, Miguel accepted the challenge to work in Metro of Porto, where he would develop his skills in technical and public procurement areas.

In 2011, Miguel joined the EDP Group, specifically E-REDES. He began travelling around the country to design and construct new electrical infrastructures. He soon realized his keenness for the planning and monitoring position and a vacancy opened in maintenance planning and control. Miguel began to work in that area, more linked to asset management.

After 4 years, he moved to the planning and asset management department. And since march 2020, he's been leading the Asset Management Strategy Department, a team of seven, with the mission of developing and improving asset management and risk assessment methodologies and guaranteeing ISO 55001 standard certification, achieved in march 2022.

Throughout his career at EDP (now E-REDES), Miguel got involved in various initiatives with the group's HR area over the years. A topic that he appreciates and takes pleasure in by helping the company to develop projects in this area.

Between October 2009 and October 2013, Miguel dedicated most of his time to the ATACA - an ONG - having performed numerous functions, from basic volunteering to being a coordinator and even as a member of the association's Board of Directors.

Throughout this journey, he participated in several training actions and courses related to social entrepreneurship. At the same time, Miguel volunteered through different institutions, in recent years, with particular emphasis on classes for the first and second year of primary education by JAP – Junior Achievement Portugal.
