His deep knowledge of different industries such as resins (inks), pulp and paper, biotechnology, polyurethane foams and cultures (multinational and family companies) made him a natural problem-solver, cooperating and combining several different approaches for solutions.

Rui has dedicated much of his life to non-profit organizations since 2003. He has held a group that promotes music, theatre and dance to children and community members.
