DETERMINED PROJECT MANAGER WITH A KEEN SENSE OF LEADERSHIP

Owner of a resilient problem-solving and focused approach, Sérgio is a reliable project manager with vast experience managing teams' strategic alignments and improving operational tactics in manufacturing organizations to accomplish targeted goals.

After finishing his integrated master's in mechanical engineering, Sérgio began working as a Mechanical Engineer, at Continental Mabor Indústria de Pneus, SA, in the Operations and Logistics Department.

Fulled by a desire to broaden his experience, he decided to move to Omnidea, Lda, to work as a Project Engineer for the aerospace industry. Later, in that same year, Sérgio launched his international experience and moved to France to operate as a Cost Engineer for Hutchinson SNC, where he was responsible for controlling production costs for all three Total Group factories across Europe. After two efficient years working in the Production Cost Department headquarters in France, Sergio moved to Hutchinson Porto, where he oversaw the department's transition to the Portuguese subsidiary. During this time, he accumulated positions simultaneously as Product Engineer and as the Head of a multidisciplinary team.

Sergio's team-leading skills strived through this experience, so he quickly decided to continue investing in this successive path as an Industrialization Engineer and as the Head of the team working on restructuring an entire sector of the manufacturing plant. In pursuit of solidifying his experience and broad leadership skills, Sérgio decided to accept a new position as Global Product Manager at Steigentech, a Michelin Licensee. He managed three assembly centers in Europe (France, UK, and Turkey) and developed three new ones in China and North and South America. During this period, Sergio also concluded an Executive Master in Project Management from Porto Business School.

Currently, Sérgio has enrolled in this International MBA to combine his overall experience in engineering and project management with innovative management approaches and devote his expertise to broader business areas.
