João has demonstrated efficient leadership experience and a result-oriented approach with high problem-solving skills in acquiring, designing, and constructing large-scale infrastructure and energy projects.

His experiences in Portugal, Peru, and Colombia contributed to his diverse knowledge, cultural awareness, and ability to adapt to multicultural environments, inspiring João to instigate a new way of thinking and apply it to any project. During this process, he gained a high Economic and Legal understanding of contract development and management and understood the value of strategic planning and being a problem-solver when facing unexpected or adverse conditions.

João is a Regional Production Manager and Project Manager for the Colombian market at Mota-Engil, the most prominent Portuguese civil engineer and construction company, with extensive experience in large engineering projects such as Ports & Marine Works, Oil & Gas, Energy, Large Scale Infrastructures, Roads & Highways, Railways, and Mining.

He has developed both technical and managerial skills in leading roles in large-scale projects, covering the whole project execution life cycle. His supervised projects were completed on time, within scope, and on budget with high-profit margins.

João was promoted as one of the youngest project managers and regional production managers within Mota-Engil and ranked 1st place in the MOTA-ENGIL Start@ME Engineer Trainee Program, winning the Final Project Program Award from Mota-Engil in 2013.
